Last Harvest
The past few weeks have been insane at the offices of the Flagstaff Cultural Partners. We are in the midst of our Fall Appeal mailing for our former membership, newly named “Partnership”.
Along with lots of concerts, and a Rug auction, this means a lot of extra hours, and has worked out to be only one day off a week.
On top of making new work, firing and photographing for It’s Elemental deadline there is not a lot of extra time for anything else in my life.
One of the joys in my last week was going out in the woods to search for firewood to warm my house for the winter.
The other, which didn’t start as joyous, was a trip to the backyard, to access the damage from the last frosts.
Oh the carnage!
To my delight, the humble carrot, along with golden beets, hunkered down, buried deep in the rich soil was thriving away!
Hooray for homegrown veg!
