Serendipitous
Excited to get my heart rate up, I threw my bike shoes and clothes in a bag on my way out the door to work this morning.
After work I zipped over Cedar Hill on my way to spin. I slid into a parking spot, door opening while truck still moving and jumped out. I heard, “Hey Robin!”. My head whipping around to see the smiling blue eyes and sun kissed face of Ed George, holding a large camera. I asked if he was going to the spinning class. Only after the words were in the air does the question seem absurd. “Oh no, no, Shonto’s opening is tonight.”
Sweet!
I ran inside, clicked into bike pedals and spun my way to a sweat dripping, endorphin high. An hour later I walked outside the studio, inhaled crisp autumn air and got a glimpse of that fading azure sky, sliver of a golden crescent moon hanging.
Stepping into Brandy’s I was instantly reminded of how prolific Shonto is. The restaurant was filled with art, live music and general merriment. Shonto has been showing annually at Brandy’s for 11 years.
Pop in for breakfast, order up the Eggs Pierre and check out Shonto’s new work.

If you wanted to get your heart rate up, you should have seen Frank Rosaly last night. What a guy and what a show!
Frank Rosaly put on a great show! I loved the cymbals on the snare head- sounded like strings!
