The FCP top 5 - Local Sandwiches

Lunchtime is a coveted experience here at FCP and we often deliberate as a group what one will consume during the noon hour. Because of our love of lunch and for the local establishments that provide savory specialties, the FCP staff decided that a debate of our favorite sandwiches in town was in order. We convened during two different lunch breaks, each of us offering tastes of our favorite sandwich from local famed eateries. A total of ten delectable stacks of meat and/or veggies, cheese, tasty condiments and bread were sampled and discussed. Here are the five that made the final cut:
  • The Reuben, made with corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss cheese and Russian dressing on dark rye bread (particularly from Main Street Catering)
  • House Roast Turkey, made with smoked gouda, roasted red peppers, romaine lettuce and pesto mayo on a croissant (Daily Fare Cafe)
  • Overnight Beef Brisket with Caramelized Onion dipped in Blue Cheese Fondue (Cuvee 928)
  • The Cherise, made with turkey, peach chutney, sprouts, bacon and havarti cheese on sourdough bread (Main Street Catering)

These are the grinders that have satisfied our taste buds lately. It's almost certain there's a sandwich out there within city limits that hasn't been given a fair trial. What is your favorite sandwich made in Flagstaff? Tell us!

Mountain Oasis' California chicken sandwich is to die for! believe it's organic chicken, guac, jerk sauce and other lovely stuff! Must try the blackberry/ginger lemonade to wash it down!
