Touching at a Distance - Opens Saturday
The new exhibition of fine art figure drawings, Touching at a Distance, opens this weekend with a Reception at the Coconino Center for the Arts.
The Reception is open to the public and set for Saturday, September 25, from 6-8pm. There will be live drawing demos, as some of the artists whose work is featured in the show will be on hand and drawing a model during the Reception. Live music will be performed by Clair Anna Rose, and sushi (from Karma Sushi) and wine will be served. Following the Reception, at 8pm, there is a concert by Viola award winning classical guitarist, Craig Yarbrough.
Touching at a Distance is an elegant exhibition of figure drawings by alumni and students from Arizona's three main state universities: NAU, UofA, and ASU. The show's curator, Shawn Skabelund, is adjunct faculty in the School of Art at Northern Arizona University.
Check out some images from the exhibition below. We'll see you Saturday night!
