Too Soon

It's CHRISTMASTIME!!!! Kind of. If you're crazy like me, you're already excited about the Holidays! The almost snow in Flagstaff a couple weeks ago made me relapse into my Winter addiction. I sometimes pretend that I don't like a nine month Winter, but deep down, it is a magical season for me. I love the snow, the cold, the layers of clothes, the friendly spirit floating around downtown. But I particularly love gift-giving. So with the spirit of giving on the mind, I present to you "(Some of) The Best Local Shops to Buy Gifts At That Happen To Be In The November ArtWalk."
West of the Moon Gallery
111 E. Aspen #2 / 928.774.0465
Hey Sugar! FCP's very own Robin Cadigan is bringing her sweet personality to West of the Moon with "The Sweet Life." Nostalgic and delightful! Works include sundae cups, pots-de-creme, and cupcakes! Perfect for those family members and friends with a sweet-tooth. You can give original cups or pots filled with candies!

Fire on the Mountain Studio
324 W Birch Ave. / 928.774.9025
George and his friends will be blowing the Christmas future from 5pm-9pm in the Hot Shop behind the new Organic Beauty Lounge. Come join! You can even take away some one-of-a-kind George creations! His glass ornaments are perfect for tree decorations! Great for the boss you want to suck up to.

Sundara Fine Art Cafe & Boutique
22 E. Rte 66 / 928.779.3292
Warm up at Sundara with delicious teas or coffees! Shop the boutique, but don't forget to check out the aintings by local artists Patty West and Emma Gardner. After you've made your purchases for the Missus, catch live music with Bird & Bear and John Borham.

Wil McNabb Fine Jewelry

18 N. Leroux / 928.213.1572
What woman doesn't love receiving jewelry? Fellas, it's a fail-safe. Also, well known local artist and teacher Julie Thurston. Shows new landscapes and florals in watercolor.

Z House Gallery & Boutique
2320 East Route 66 / 928.380.2292
Flagstaff's newest gallery! Featuring the work of local artists - pottery, photography, textiles, mosaics, jewelery, dolls, lace, prints, custom holiday cards, ornaments, quilts, hats, purses & more. 100% handmade. Something for everyone here! I can't wait to scope this new Gallery out! I might have to buy a gift for myself.

Seasoned Kitchen
106 N. San Francisco St. / 928.213.9542
Now men, we don't want to be mean, but if you want us to cook for you, you better supply some awesome pots and pans. Then stop in for treats from our kitchen and view pottery by Gary Houston, paintings by Steve Lawton.

Vino Loco Wine Shop
22 E. Birch Ave. Ste #1 / 928.226.1764
Stop by Vino Loco for a drink and check out paintings by Michael Wayman & Live Folk/Blues Music from Jamon Schreiter, and also singing by the Arizona Mountain Chorale. Then buy a certificate for a wine tasting for that special someone. What a sophisticated way to say "I Love You."
ZANI Cards & Gifts
107 W. Phoenix Ave. / 928.774.9409
No Hallmark cards here. Some of the most adorable to sentimental cards and special gifts you'll find in Flagstaff. I always shop ZANI when I'm looking to say something but I'm not quite sure what. Featured artists for November: Pandemonium's Leigh Young (cozy faux fur mittens, hats, cowls and scarves perfect for nude snow angel making) and Helena Rose (original fine art purses, wallets and cuffs).
