It's Elemental Happenings

The 12th annual It's Elemental Fine Craft Exhibition is opening with a bang this weekend at the Coconino Center for the Arts! 

The fine crafts exhibition, It's Elemental, showcases works by the finest craftspeople in Northern Arizona. The juried show features all locally handmade, one-of-a-kind creations like jewelry, ceramics, glasswork, wood, textiles, furniture and more.

It's Elemental Member's Preview
Friday, November 16, 7-9pm
All who have supported Flagstaff Cultural Partners with a contribution in the last year are invited to preview the exhibition on Friday evening. There will be refreshments and live entertainment, as well as the first opportunity to view and purchase artwork (there's even a 10% discount offered to member's on FRIDAY NIGHT ONLY!). It's Elemental Opening Reception
Saturday, November 17, 6-8pm
The public is invited to join many local artists at the free opening reception for this winter favorite. There will be fine foods, beverages, live jazz, and art a-plenty.








Rene Izquierdo & Elina Chekan in Concert
Saturday, November 17, 8pm
Following the reception at 8pm the Grand Canyon Guitar Society presents a concert by classical guitarist duo, Rene Izquierdo & Elina Chekan. The concert is held in the intimate indoor amphitheater at the Coconino Center for the Arts. Tickets and information are available at canyonguitar.org or at (928) 213- 0752. Fine Crafts Sale and Artists' Marketplace
Saturday & Sunday, December 1 & 2, 10am-4pm
Many artists also participate in a two day Fine Crafts Sale in conjunction with the exhibition. Pottery, jewelry, candleholders, scarves, clothing, furniture and more - all handmade and one-of-a-kind - will be for sale. Many artists participating in the sale start pieces in the $10 range and up, which are perfect for the holiday season. This is perhaps the most popular event during the It's Elemental Fine Crafts Exhibition. Enjoy free artist demonstrations as well!

 
It's Ornamental
Definitely MY favorite part of this winter exhibition is the It's Ornamental Christmas Tree in the lobby at the Center!!
It's filled with all kinds of gorgeous, handmade ornaments made by local artists. It's perfect for the holiday season!Artists make these ornaments and donate them to the Coconino Center for the Arts to raise funds to support the Center. Our artists are wonderful and generous! Prices range between $5-$25.
